    How to Make Polenta Torta

    1. Prepare Baking Dish

Lightly oil an earthenware or low-sided baking dish to prevent sticking.

    2. Layer Polenta and Tomato Sauce

Spread 1.33 cups of soft polenta evenly at the bottom of the dish, creating a smooth base layer. Then, gently ladle 1 cup of Simple Tomato Sauce over the polenta, allowing the sauce to spread evenly.

    3. Add Cheese Layers

Arrange half of the fresh mozzarella slices over the sauce, and sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella.

    4. Repeat Polenta and Tomato Sauce Layers

Spread another 1.33 cups of soft polenta over the cheese, then pour the remaining 1 cup of Simple Tomato Sauce over this second layer of polenta.

    5. Add Final Cheese and Polenta Layers

Add the rest of the mozzarella slices, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese, and spread the last 1.33 cups of soft polenta over everything to seal the torta.

    6. Rest and Preheat Oven

Let the assembled torta sit for at least 30 minutes before baking. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350°F.

    7. Bake the Torta

Bake the torta for 30 minutes, or until it is hot and bubbling.
