1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Prepare Baking Dish
Spread a light layer of 0.25 cups (60 milliliters) tomato sauce evenly across the bottom of a 13 by 9-inch baking dish.
3. First Layer
Arrange three no-boil lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spoon the ricotta filling (ricotta mixed with egg, grated Parmesan cheese, basil, salt, and pepper) over the noodles and spread it out to create an even layer. Sprinkle one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta filling, followed by pouring 1.5 cups (360 milliliters) of tomato sauce over the top.
4. Repeat Layers
Repeat the layering process two more times: noodles, ricotta filling, mozzarella, and sauce.
5. Final Layer
For the final layer, place three more noodles on top, then spread the remaining 1.25 cups (300 milliliters) of sauce over them. Finish by sprinkling one cup of mozzarella and 0.25 cups (30 grams) of grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
6. Bake Lasagna
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil that has been lightly sprayed with vegetable oil to prevent the cheese from sticking and burning. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes covered, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until the cheese is browned and the sauce is bubbling along the edges.
7. Cool and Serve
Once baked, let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes to firm up, making it easier to slice and serve. Enjoy your hearty three-cheese lasagna!
