How to Make Grilled Turkey Cutlets with Wasabi-Ginger Avocado Relish

    1. Prepare the relish

In a bowl, combine the minced green onions, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 5 teaspoons rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons of the minced ginger, 2 teaspoons wasabi paste, and the diced avocado. Season with a pinch of kosher salt and some freshly ground pepper to taste. Stir to mix everything evenly and set aside.

    2. Preheat the grill

Preheat your grill to high heat to achieve a nice sear on the turkey, which will lock in the juices and keep the meat tender.

    3. Prepare the turkey cutlets

Brush both sides of the turkey cutlets with some sesame oil. Sprinkle each cutlet with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, then rub 1.5 teaspoons of the minced ginger onto one side of each cutlet.

    4. Grill the turkey cutlets

Once the grill is hot, place the turkey cutlets on the grill. Grill them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks. Transfer the turkey to a plate once done.

    5. Grill the bread slices

Brush one side of each slice of country bread with sesame oil. Place the slices of bread on the grill, oiled side down. Grill them for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown and slightly crisp.

    6. Assemble the sandwiches

Arrange the grilled bread slices on plates, grilled side up. Lay a slice of butter lettuce on each piece of bread, followed by a turkey cutlet. Top each cutlet with a generous spoonful of the wasabi-ginger avocado relish. Serve immediately.
