1. Combine Chicken and Hot Sauce
In a cast-iron skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the shredded cooked chicken and Buffalo-style hot sauce, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer until the sauce thickens and reduces.
2. Add Creaminess
Lower the heat and add fresh lemon juice, sour cream, and softened cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the mixture becomes uniformly creamy.
3. Top with Cheese and Bake
Sprinkle freshly shredded white Cheddar cheese over the creamy mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
4. Broil and Garnish
Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for a golden top. Garnish the hot dip with crumbled blue cheese and finely chopped fresh chives.
