How to Make Lobster Mac and Cheese

    1. Prep Lobster

Boil a pot of salted water to cook your lobster until it's bright red and its antennae pull off easily, which should take about 8-10 minutes. Allow the lobster to cool down enough to handle.

    2. Prep Baking Pan

Coat a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with a tablespoon of unsalted butter to prevent sticking and add extra richness to the crust.

    3. Make Cheese Sauce

Blend together cottage cheese, whole milk, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, kosher salt, and black pepper to create a smooth, creamy base.

    4. Combine Pasta and Sauce

In a large bowl, toss uncooked macaroni or elbow pasta with the sauce mixture and grated sharp Cheddar cheese. Transfer the pasta and cheese sauce mixture into the buttered baking pan and cover with foil.

    5. Bake

Bake the pasta in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for 30 minutes with foil on to keep moisture in.

    6. Add Lobster

Stir in the lobster meat, its juices, and an additional 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter into the pasta. Then bake uncovered for another 30 minutes or until the top is browned.
