How to Make Baked Fish with Sesame and Ginger

1. Season the Fish

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Season the cod fillets with salt and black pepper to taste.

2. Prepare the Marinade

In a small dish, mix together the grated ginger and roasted sesame oil. Coat each fillet with this mixture and let them marinate at room temperature for about 15 minutes or in the fridge for up to three hours.

3. Bake the Fish

Place the marinated fillets in a baking dish lined with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

4. Garnish and Serve

Remove the fish from the oven, sprinkle with black sesame seeds, and garnish with thinly sliced scallions. Serve with pickled ginger on the side.
