How to Make Roasted Garlic Brussels Sprouts

1. Preheat oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F.

2. Prepare Brussels sprouts

Take the Brussels sprouts and remove their rough, knobby stems, then slice each sprout in half lengthwise.

3. Season Brussels sprouts

Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a bowl. Drizzle them generously with olive oil, and season with salt and fresh black pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to toss them until they are well-coated.

4. Arrange on baking sheet

Arrange the Brussels sprouts cut side down on a baking sheet.

5. Add minced garlic

If you’d like to add an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle some minced garlic over the Brussels sprouts about 5 minutes before they finish roasting. You can mix them with tongs to distribute the garlic evenly.

6. Roast Brussels sprouts

Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast the Brussels sprouts for 15 to 20 minutes. Keep an eye on them: you’re looking for a beautiful browning on the cut sides and a crispy texture in places.

7. Cool and serve
