How to Make Herb-Marinated Steak with Lemon

    1. Prepare the Marinade

In a blender or food processor, combine the basil, scallions, thyme, mint or dill, garlic, jalapeño if using, kosher salt, lemon zest, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.

    2. Marinate the Steak

Place the steak in a bowl, coat thoroughly with the herb paste, cover, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.

    3. Cook the Steak

Preheat the grill or broiler to high heat. Cook the marinated steak to desired doneness, according to the thickness of the steak.

    4. Rest and Serve

Let the cooked steak rest for 5 to 10 minutes, then slice and garnish with extra basil, scallions, and thyme before serving.
