    How to Make Shrimp Tacos

    1. Prep

Wash and pat dry the shrimp. Prepare your vegetables by finely chopping the jalapeño, cilantro, and onion. Cut the lime into wedges for serving. Set aside.

    2. Marinate

In a bowl, whisk together the cumin, coriander, chili powder, microplaned garlic, and half of the avocado oil. Add the shrimp and toss until they are well-coated with the marinade. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

    3. Toast Tortillas

Heat a cast-iron pan over medium heat. Place a tortilla in the pan and heat for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and slightly crispy. Keep the toasted tortillas in a container with a lid to stay warm while you prepare the rest of the dish.

    4. Cook Protein

Heat the remaining avocado oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque, indicating they're cooked through. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Remember to look for visual cues rather than just time to ensure perfectly cooked shrimp.

    5. Add Vegetables

Once the shrimp are nearly done, add the chopped jalapeño to the pan and cook together for an additional minute. This will soften the jalapeño and infuse its flavor into the shrimp.

    6. Finishing Ingredients

Remove the pan from heat. Squeeze a wedge of lime over the shrimp and sprinkle with a pinch of salt, if needed. Toss in the chopped cilantro and onion, mixing well to distribute the fresh flavors.

    7. To Serve

Spoon the shrimp mixture into the warm tortillas. Serve with extra lime wedges on the side. Enjoy your vibrant and tasty Shrimp Tacos with the satisfaction of knowing you've cooked them to perfection using fresh, simple ingredients and effective cooking techniques.
