How to Make Sautéed Swiss Chard with Garlic and Red Pepper

    1. Prepare Chard

Stack the Swiss chard leaves into several piles and slice them into 1/4-inch strips.

    2. Sauté Aromatics

In a very large skillet or soup pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.

    3. Wilt the Greens

Add the Swiss chard strips to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the flavored oil. Cover the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, or until the chard has wilted.

    4. Finish Cooking

Uncover the skillet, stir the chard, and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
