How to Make Oven-Fried Cornflake Chicken

1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Cornflakes

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take some cornflakes and place them inside a resealable plastic bag. Crush them finely to ensure there are no large pieces left.

2. Prepare Egg Wash

Crack a few eggs into a shallow bowl and beat them well until the yolks and whites are completely blended.

3. Season Chicken

Season your chicken pieces generously with salt and pepper, ensuring every piece is evenly covered.

4. Coat Chicken in Cornflakes

Dip each seasoned piece into the beaten eggs, then press it into the crushed cornflakes, ensuring an even coating all around.

5. Bake the Chicken

Prepare a baking tray by lightly greasing it with butter. Arrange the coated chicken pieces on the tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Pitfalls and tips

Use a three-step breading process

dredge in seasoned flour, dip in egg wash, then coat with cornflake mixture. Press the mixture firmly onto the chicken but avoid overcoating.
