1. Prepare Sugar-Butter Mixture
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the light brown sugar and melted unsalted butter until smooth. Pour this mixture into a large rimmed baking sheet.
2. Combine Custard Ingredients
In a separate pie pan or shallow dish, whisk together the beaten eggs, milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, orange blossom water, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and kosher salt until well mixed.
3. Soak Baguette Slices
Dip the baguette slices in the custard mixture, making sure each slice is soaked thoroughly. Allow the bread to stand for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
4. Bake the French Toast
Arrange the soaked bread slices on top of the sugar-butter mixture on the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and sugar is caramelized.
5. Serve Hot
Serve the Crème Brûlée French Toast hot with the caramelized side facing up, drizzling any extra syrup from the pan over the slices.
