How to Make Classic Garlic Bread

    1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Butter Mixture

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together the melted unsalted butter, grated fresh garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese. Add the chopped flat-leaf parsley, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper to create the garlic butter mixture.

    2. Prepare Bread with Butter Mixture

Using a serrated knife, make deep slits in the baguette or crusty loaf, being careful not to cut through the base. Spoon the prepared butter mixture into the slits, ensuring each one is generously filled.

    3. Bake the Garlic Bread

Wrap the loaf in foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

    4. Optional Mozzarella Addition

Optional: Add thin slices of fresh mozzarella cheese between the slits, then return the bread to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

    5. Serve Hot

Remove the garlic bread from the oven, unwrap it from the foil, and slice it before serving hot.
