    How to Make Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

    1. Preheat and Grease

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with some butter.

    2. Melt Butter

    In a saucepan, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter over medium heat. Once the butter is browned, pour it into a large bowl.

    3. Combine Sugars and Butter

    Add the granulated sugar, turbinado sugar, and packed dark brown sugar to the melted butter and stir until well combined and smooth.

    4. Add Eggs and Vanilla

    Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract into the sugar and butter mixture and stir until creamy.

    5. Add Dry Ingredients

    Add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and sea salt to the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly. Then fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

    6. Prepare for Baking

    Transfer the cookie dough to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the flake salt over the surface of the dough.

    7. Bake

    Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still soft.
