How to Make Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

    1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or a silicone baking mat.

    2. Prepare the Jalapeños

Take your jalapeños and carefully halve them lengthwise. Removing the seeds and membranes is optional but recommended if you prefer a milder heat.

    3. Stuff the Jalapeños

Spread the softened cream cheese evenly inside each jalapeño half.

    4. Wrap with Bacon

Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon. Secure the bacon with a toothpick if necessary.

    5. Bake the Poppers

Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and browned.

    6. Cool and Serve

Once baked, let the poppers cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your crispy, creamy, and slightly spicy jalapeño poppers!

    Wrap it Up

For an extra layer of flavor and texture, wrap your stuffed jalapeños in thinly sliced prosciutto or bacon before breading and baking. The fat from the wrapping will render during cooking, imparting a rich, meaty flavor.

    Cheese Variations

While cream cheese is the standard filling, you can add or substitute other cheeses for a different flavor profile. Try mixing in sharp cheddar for a tangy kick, smoked gouda for a smoky note, or pepper jack for extra heat.
