How to Make Wilted Chard with Onion

    1. Prepare the Chard

Take a large bunch of chard and give it a good wash to remove any dirt. Once clean, separate the ribs from the leaves using a knife and set both aside for later use.

    2. Cook the Onions

In a heavy pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add a diced onion to the pan. Stir the onions occasionally and let them cook for about 5 minutes until they are translucent and soft.

    3. Add Chard Ribs

Add the chard ribs to the pan with the onions and continue cooking for another 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the ribs to soften.

    4. Wilt the Chard Leaves

Introduce the chard leaves to the pan, sprinkling a pinch of salt over them. Stir everything together and let the leaves cook until they are wilted and tender, which should take just a few minutes.
