How to Make Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Hot Honey Browned Butter

    1. Roast Sweet Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 425°F. Scrub the sweet potatoes clean, and use a fork to poke holes all over each sweet potato. Place them directly on the oven rack and roast for 60 to 80 minutes until they are tender and have caramelized spots.

    2. Prepare Hot Honey Browned Butter

While the sweet potatoes are roasting, melt the unsalted butter in a small pot over medium heat. Swirl the pot occasionally. Once the butter begins to brown and releases a nutty aroma, add honey, white wine vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir everything together and remove the pot from the heat.

    3. Finish and Serve

After the sweet potatoes are done roasting, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Slit each sweet potato down the middle, warm up the browned butter mixture if needed, and drizzle it over the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before serving.
