1. Prep the Oven and Baking Dish
Center a rack and preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Generously butter a 15x10-inch baking dish and set aside.
2. Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the 12 tablespoons of butter. Add chopped celery and minced onion, sautéing until softened—about 10 minutes.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking until the top is golden brown, about 30 minutes more.
