How to Make Tomato and Tonnato Sandwich

1. Prepare Tonnato Sauce Base

Place the drained tuna, a small garlic clove, sea salt, grated lemon zest, and freshly squeezed lemon juice into a food processor. Process these ingredients until they are finely chopped and well combined.

2. Blend with Mayonnaise

Add the mayonnaise to the tuna mixture in the food processor and blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

3. Assemble the Sandwich

Generously spread the tonnato sauce onto the slices of bread. Place thick slices of tomato on top of the sauce and sprinkle a pinch of flake salt over the tomatoes. If desired, add a handful of arugula and top with another slice of bread.
