1. Prepare Jicama and Oranges
Peel one small jicama and cut it into 1/4-inch sticks. Peel two oranges and slice them into 1/4-inch rounds. Arrange the jicama sticks and orange slices on a serving platter.
2. Add Spices
Sprinkle a pinch of paprika or a spicy chile powder such as ancho or guajillo over the jicama and oranges to add a subtle warmth to the fresh flavors.
3. Prepare Lime Dressing
Whisk together the juice of one lime with a generous pinch of salt and two tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil until the dressing emulsifies and thickens slightly.
4. Dress the Salad
Pour the freshly whisked lime dressing evenly over the arranged jicama and orange slices.
5. Garnish with Cilantro and Radishes
Sprinkle one to two tablespoons of chopped cilantro over the top. Add 1/4 cup of sliced radishes for a bit of extra crunch and color. Optionally, drizzle more lime juice to taste.
