    How to Make Savory Asian Rice and Meat Loaf

    1. Rinse and Prepare Rice

    Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly and drain it to remove excess starch. Combine the rice and cold water in an 8-inch round cake pan.

    2. Steam Rice

    Steam the covered rice for about 30-40 minutes until it appears translucent and sticky, ensuring it is soft and well-cooked.

    3. Line Cake Pan

    While the rice is steaming, line a 9-inch square cake pan with aluminum foil.

    4. Prepare Filling Sauce

    Prepare the filling sauce by mixing the oyster sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, and five-spice powder in a bowl.

    5. Cook Shrimp and Meat

    Heat a teaspoon of peanut oil in a wok over medium heat. Add the dried shrimp and stir-fry for about 40 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the Chinese bacon and Chinese sausages to the wok. Stir-fry together for about 5 minutes until fully cooked and slightly crispy.
