1. Cook Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta just until al dente, which usually takes a minute or two less than the package instructions.
2. Preheat Oven
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare it for baking the frittata.
3. Crisp the Meat
Heat two tablespoons of butter or extra virgin olive oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium heat. If using meat, add it now and let it cook until crispy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
4. Prepare Frittata Base
Whisk together the eggs, Parmesan cheese, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add the cooked pasta to this egg mixture, tossing to coat.
5. Cook Frittata
Pour the pasta and egg mixture back into the hot skillet, spreading it out evenly. Let it cook for a moment until the bottom firms up, then transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the top is firm and golden.
6. Serve
Serve the pasta frittata warm, directly from the skillet if desired, cutting it into wedges.
