How to Make Holiday-Spiced Mixed Nuts

    1. Preheat and Prep

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Adjust your oven racks to the upper-middle and lower-middle positions. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

    2. Coat the Nuts

In a large bowl, whisk together the egg whites, water, and salt until frothy. Add the mixed nuts to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the egg white mixture. Allow the nuts to drain in a colander for 5 minutes to remove any excess liquid.

    3. Season the Nuts

In a separate large bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and coriander. Add the drained nuts to the spice mixture and toss until they are evenly coated with the spices.

    4. Bake the Nuts

Spread the nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the nuts are dry and crisp. To ensure even baking, rotate the baking sheets and switch their positions halfway through the baking time.

    5. Cool and Serve

Remove the nuts from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheets. Once cooled, break the nuts apart. Serve as a delightful holiday snack or as a topping for salads and desserts.
