How to Make Classic Chickpea Hummus

    1. Prep Base

Combine the chickpeas, tahini, 1 tablespoon of either cumin or paprika, garlic, and lemon juice in a food processor. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    2. Process to Smooth

Process the mixture, gradually adding the reserved chickpea liquid or water as needed, until a smooth purée forms.

    3. Season Perfectly

Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice if required.

    4. Garnish & Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving dish. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, and sprinkle with a pinch of cumin or paprika, and garnish with fresh parsley.
