How to Make Herbaceous Feta & Yogurt Dip

    1. Blend Fresh Herbs and Aromatics

Place the fresh dill, mint, parsley, basil, chopped garlic, sliced scallions, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of kosher salt into your food processor. Blend these ingredients until they are finely chopped and well mixed.

    2. Emulsify with Olive Oil

With the motor running, slowly drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil. Doing this allows the oil to emulsify with the herb mixture, creating a smooth and cohesive base for the dip.

    3. Add Feta Cheese

Next, add the crumbled feta cheese to the food processor and blend until the mixture is smooth.

    4. Incorporate Greek Yogurt

Now, pulse in the Greek yogurt until everything is well combined. Taste the dip, and if needed, adjust the salt to your liking.

    5. Optional: Add Mayonnaise

If you prefer a richer dip, you can add the optional mayonnaise at this stage. Simply pulse it into the mixture until it is fully incorporated.

    Variations

    Mediterranean Layered Dip

Top core dip with cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, and za'atar for a textured appetizer.

    Spicy Whipped Feta Spread

Add roasted red pepper and harissa or chili flakes, blended until smooth for sandwiches or dips.

    Tzatziki-Inspired Dip

Use grated cucumber and more garlic in place of some herbs for a refreshing dip.

    Mediterranean Twist

Incorporate fresh oregano, mint, chopped Kalamata olives, sumac, and extra virgin olive oil drizzle.

    Protein-Packed Dip

Add cooked chicken or flaked salmon to turn the dip into a filling light meal.
