How to Make Rustic Apple Pecan Crumble

1. Prep

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish with butter.

2. Crumb Mixture

In a medium bowl, mix together flour, 1 cup (200g) brown sugar, oats, pecans, and salt. Pour in the melted butter. Stir with a fork until the mixture forms even crumbs.

3. Apple Mixture

Toss the apple wedges in the prepared baking dish with the remaining 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well coated. Spread the apples into an even layer at the bottom of the dish.

4. Assemble and Bake

Clump the crumb mixture with your fingers to create varying sizes of crumbs and evenly sprinkle over the apples. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is crisp and a deep golden brown.

5. Serve
