How to Make Cardamom Cream Soda

    1. Make Cardamom-Vanilla Syrup

Combine granulated sugar, lightly crushed cardamom pods, a split vanilla bean, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat until you see gentle bubbling. Allow the aromatic flavors of the cardamom and vanilla to infuse into the sugar syrup.

    2. Cool the Syrup

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature. The flavors will continue to blend and enhance the syrup's taste as it cools.

    3. Assemble the Cardamom Cream Soda

Pour 1½ ounces (40 ml) of the homemade syrup into a glass. Top with 6 ounces (180 ml) of sparkling water and give it a quick stir. Squeeze a small lime wedge into the soda for a refreshing twist.

    4. Add Cream

Optionally, add a splash of heavy whipping cream to the soda. Stir gently to create a creamy texture.
