How to Make Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich

1. Prepare the Bread

Generously butter one side of each bread slice, then flip and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the other side.

2. Begin Cooking

Place one slice of bread in the warm pan, butter side down, and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly on top.

3. Assemble Sandwich

Lay the second slice of bread on top of the cheese, mayonnaise side up, and press gently with a spatula to ensure the cheese starts to meld with the bread.
