How to Make Banana Cake with Ginger and Chocolate

1. Prepare Cake Pan

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake or Bundt pan with unsalted butter and dust with all-purpose flour.

2. Combine Bananas and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the dark brown sugar until well combined.

3. Add Wet Ingredients

Add the melted unsalted butter, large eggs, and sour cream to the banana mixture, stirring until smooth.

4. Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, sea salt, and ground ginger.
