How to Make Rena's Sesame-Marinated Broccoli

    1. Cook Broccoli

Fill a large saucepan with water and bring it to a boil. Generously salt the water and add 2 pounds of broccoli florets and peeled, sliced stems. Cook for about 3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Drain immediately and let cool.

    2. Prepare Dressing

In a serving bowl, whisk together ¼ cup of distilled white vinegar, ¼ cup of toasted sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ¾ teaspoon of salt. Toss the cooled broccoli in the dressing and let stand for 15 minutes.

    3. Season and Serve

Taste and adjust the seasoning with kosher salt if needed. Sprinkle toasted white and/or black sesame seeds over the top before serving.
