How to Make Hearty Ham and Bell Pepper Baked Frittata

1. Preheat Oven and Grease Dish

Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 1.5- to 2-quart oval baker or a 9x13-inch baking dish.

2. Sauté Ham

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced ham and sauté it for about 2 minutes until it starts to brown slightly.

3. Cook Vegetables

Add the chopped green and red bell peppers along with the diced onions to the skillet. Cook the vegetables for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until they become tender.

4. Spread Ham and Vegetables in Baking Dish

Spread the cooked ham and vegetables evenly in your greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the ham and vegetables.

5. Prepare Egg Mixture

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and slightly frothy.

6. Pour Egg Mixture and Sprinkle Cheese

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the ham and vegetables in the baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.

7. Bake Frittata

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is cooked through and the top is golden brown.

8. Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the frittata from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
