How to Make Lemon Squares

1. Prepare the Crust

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, confectioners' sugar, and kosher salt. Pour in the melted unsalted butter and mix until fully incorporated. Press the mixture into a 9-by-13-inch pan and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden.

2. Make the Lemon Filling

Using the same bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, fresh lemon juice, baking powder, and the remaining flour. Once the crust is baked, pour the lemon mixture over the hot base and return it to the oven for another 20 to 25 minutes, or until the filling is set.

3. Add the Finishing Touches

After baking, allow the lemon squares to cool. Then, dust confectioners' sugar over the top using a fine-mesh sieve for a professional look and a sweet contrast.
