Unsalted Butter, melted

Coarse Sea Salt

1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F so it’s ready when you need it.
2. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the blanched almond flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
3. Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, stir the large egg and melted unsalted butter until they are fully incorporated.
4. Form Dough
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. The dough should come together and be slightly sticky but manageable.
5. Roll Out Dough
Turn the dough out onto a piece of parchment paper and gently pat it into a rough rectangle. Place another piece of parchment paper on top and roll the dough out to a ⅛-inch thickness.
6. Score Dough
Using a sharp knife or a pizza wheel, score the dough into 2-inch squares.
7. Season Dough
Lightly sprinkle coarse sea salt over the dough and press it in gently with your fingers to ensure it sticks.
8. Bake Crackers
Carefully slide the parchment paper with the dough onto a baking sheet. Place it in the oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. The crackers are done when the edges are golden brown and they feel firm to the touch.
9. Cool and Store
Once baked, let the crackers cool completely on the baking sheet. After cooling, break them apart along the scored lines and store them in a covered container.
Add 1/2 cup of finely grated Parmesan or aged cheddar to the dough for a cheesy twist. You can also sprinkle coarse salt or more cheese on top before baking for added texture and flavor.
Mix in 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning into the dough for a savory, seed-studded cracker that's perfect with dips or cheeses.
Replace the herbs in the original recipe with a different dried herb or a mix of them. Try rosemary, oregano, or a Provencal blend for a Mediterranean twist. If you like a bit of an exotic touch, a hint of dried za'atar or sumac can be wonderful.
Incorporate 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, or basil into the dough for a fresh and aromatic flavor profile.
Incorporate a different type of cheese into the dough for a new flavor profile. Aged gouda or smoked cheddar can add depth, while a sprinkle of grated Parmesan or Asiago gives a nice umami kick.
