    How to Make Guacamole

    1. Prepare Avocados

Take your 2 ripe avocados and cut them in half lengthwise with a knife. Carefully remove the pits with the same knife, then scoop the flesh out of the skins using a spoon and place it into a mortar.

    2. Mash Avocados

Using a pestle, mash the avocado flesh roughly. Stop mashing when you still see visible chunks of avocado to maintain a chunky texture.

    3. Add Lime Juice

Stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice. This adds a refreshing zing and helps keep the avocado from browning quickly.

    4. Add Onion and Cilantro

Add in 2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion and 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro. These ingredients provide flavor and a bit of crunch.

    5. Season and Adjust

Season your guacamole with salt to taste. Adjust the lime juice if necessary to achieve the perfect balance of flavors.

    6. Optional: Add Heat

For those who enjoy a bit of heat, consider adding a finely chopped jalapeño or serrano pepper, with the seeds removed.
