How to Make Shishito Peppers with Lime Crema and Garlic

1. Prep

In a small bowl, combine the sour cream with lime juice and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and set aside. This crema will provide a cooling contrast to the warm peppers.

2. Saute

Place a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, pour in the avocado oil. Add the Shishito peppers to the pan with a pinch of salt. Cook, tossing occasionally, until they are blistered and just cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.

3. Add Aromatics

Reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.

4. Serve with Crema

Remove the pan from the heat. Serve the sautéed Shishito peppers immediately, with the lime crema on the side for dipping.
