    How to Make Tuna Salad

    1. Drain and Press Tuna

Drain the three cans of solid white albacore tuna thoroughly. Place the tuna in a fine-mesh strainer and press it dry with paper towels until it looks dry and flaky.

    2. Prepare Onion Mixture

Finely chop a quarter cup of onion and combine it with two tablespoons of olive oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave this mixture for about two minutes and let it cool for five minutes.

    3. Add Seasonings to Onion Mixture

Once the mixture has cooled, add two teaspoons of lemon juice, half a teaspoon each of salt and pepper, and half a teaspoon of sugar. Mix well.

    4. Marinate Tuna

Combine the pressed tuna with the onion mixture in a large bowl. Let it sit for about ten minutes to marinate.

    5. Finish Salad

Stir in half a cup plus two tablespoons of mayonnaise and one finely chopped celery rib. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
