1. Prepare the Grill or Broiler
Start by lightly oiling your grill grate or broiler rack to prevent sticking and make for easy cleanup.
2. Season the Salmon
Season each salmon fillet with half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of ground Urfa pepper.
3. Sear the Salmon
Preheat your grill or broiler. Once ready, place the salmon fillets skin side down on the grill or skin side up in the broiler. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes to crisp up the skin.
4. Apply Date Glaze
Carefully turn the fillets over and brush the top side with date molasses. Let the salmon cook for another 3 to 5 minutes to allow the molasses to seep into the fish.
5. Finish the Cooking
Turn the fillets once more and press down with a metal spatula for even cooking. Add another layer of date molasses to the second side and let it sit for about a minute. The salmon is done when it flakes easily under gentle pressure.
6. Serve Immediately
Serve your date-glazed salmon fillets immediately, enjoying the blend of textures and tastes.
