How to Make Baked Wild Salmon with Herb Butter

    1. Preheat Oven

Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F.

    2. Prepare Herb Butter

While the oven is warming up, take your herb butter out of the fridge and set it on the countertop to soften.

    3. Season Salmon

Next, focus on your wild salmon fillet. Cut it into 4- to 6-ounce pieces, perfect for individual servings. Sprinkle each piece generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

    4. Prepare Baking Dish

Prepare a baking dish or a rimmed baking sheet by lightly oiling it to prevent the salmon from sticking.

    5. Bake the Salmon

Place the salmon pieces in the oiled dish, skin side down, and slide the dish into the preheated oven. Bake the salmon for 7 to 10 minutes, looking for the flesh to be just set with a lovely pink center.

    6. Top with Herb Butter

Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and immediately top each piece with a dollop of softened herb butter. Serve immediately.
