How to Make Spinach Marinara Lasagne Delight

    1. Prep Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 375°F. Get your 9x13-inch deep lasagne pan ready and have a double layer of aluminum foil on hand. This will ensure your lasagne bakes evenly right from the start.

    2. Prepare Spinach

Wash and drain the spinach thoroughly. Steam it until it’s deep green and wilted, which should take about 8-10 minutes. Let it cool, then squeeze out as much excess moisture as possible. Chop the spinach and toss it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, along with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. This step keeps your lasagne from becoming watery while retaining the spinach's nutrients and vibrant color.

    3. Assemble Lasagne

Start by ladling about 1/2 cup of the marinara sauce into the bottom of your lasagne pan. Lay down 5-6 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Next, spread half of the Tofu Ricotta (or Cashew Ricotta) over the noodles, followed by half of the chopped spinach. Pour one-third of the remaining marinara sauce over the spinach, then add another layer of noodles. Repeat the ricotta, spinach, and sauce layers one more time. For the top layer, use the remaining sauce and sprinkle with Almesan if desired.

    4. Add Water (if uncooked noodles)

If you’re using uncooked noodles, pour 1 cup of warm water into the lasagne. Pour it into the gaps and edges to help the noodles cook evenly during baking.

    5. Bake Lasagne

Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes. This method first cooks the noodles through and then allows the edges to brown and the sauce to bubble, giving your lasagne a perfect texture and flavor.

    6. Cool and Serve

Once out of the oven, let the lasagne cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. This cooling period helps the lasagne set, making it easier to cut and serve. Serve your Spinach Marinara Lasagne Delight with extra marinara sauce, breadsticks, and a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
