How to Make Sorbet in Grapefruit Cups

1. Soften Sorbet

Allow the sorbet to soften slightly at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes to make it easier to handle and spread into the grapefruit cups later.

2. Prepare Grapefruit Cups

Cut each grapefruit in half and gently scoop out the flesh, being careful to keep the rind intact. Use a knife to help loosen the edges before scooping if necessary.

3. Fill Grapefruit Cups with Sorbet

Fill the prepared grapefruit cups with the softened sorbet, using a spoon or butter knife to pack it neatly into each cup.

4. Add Optional Toppings

If using optional toppings, arrange thinly sliced kumquats, halved grapes, and a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds on top of the sorbet for added flavor and color.

5. Freeze the Grapefruit Cups

Place the filled grapefruit cups in the freezer for about 30 minutes to ensure the sorbet is firm and ready to serve.

6. Serve and Enjoy

Serve the sorbet-filled grapefruit as halves or cut them into quarters for smaller portions, and enjoy.
