A tantalizing blend of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors, the mangonada is a traditional Mexican treat made with mango, chamoy, and Tajín.
Mango, peeled and chopped if fresh, or defrosted if frozen

1. Blend Mangoes
In a blender, combine the mango, granulated sugar, lime juice, and cold water. Blend until smooth to create a rich tropical mango base. Optionally, add silver tequila or rum for an adult version and adjust the consistency with more water if necessary.
2. Chill Mango Mixture
Place the blended mango mixture into the refrigerator or freezer to chill until you're ready to serve. This allows the flavors to meld and intensify.
3. Assemble Mangonadas
Paint the inside of each 16-ounce glass with chamoy and sprinkle Tajín over it. Pour the chilled mango mixture into the glasses and add fresh mango pieces if desired. Optionally, place a tamarind candy straw in each glass for garnish.
