A rich and tangy syrup made by reducing pomegranate juice to create a versatile ingredient for a variety of culinary uses.
Pomegranate Juice, unsweetened
0.25 fluid ounces
1. Simmer the Juice
Pour the pomegranate juice into a saucepan and heat it over medium heat. Allow it to simmer gently, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the juice reduces and thickens to a syrupy consistency that coats the back of a spoon.
2. Cooling Down
Once the pomegranate juice has reduced to the desired consistency, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the molasses to cool. It will thicken further as it cools, turning into a luscious, tangy syrup ready for use in recipes.
