How to Make Fresh Lime Ice with Berries

    1. Prepare Limes

Zest and juice your limes. Grate the zest from two large limes, and juice a total of five to six limes to get about three-quarters of a cup of fresh lime juice. Use a grater and juicer for this, and gather everything in a large bowl.

    2. Mix Ingredients

In the bowl with your lime juice and zest, add one cup of sugar. Stir it gently until the sugar dissolves completely. Add one-third of a cup of corn syrup and one and three-quarters cups of water to the mixture. Stir again until everything is well combined.

    3. Freeze Mixture

Take your lime mixture and pour it into an ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to freeze the mixture. Once the lime ice is ready, transfer it to a container and place it in the freezer to firm up for several hours.

    4. Serve with Berries

When you're ready to serve, scoop the lime ice into small dishes and top it with fresh berries of your choice. Add a sprinkle of chopped mint leaves or some cubed mango or papaya if you'd like an extra burst of flavor.

    5. Alternative Freezing Method

If you don't have an ice cream maker, pour the lime mixture into a 13 × 9-inch baking dish and freeze it. Stir the mixture every 45 minutes, then every 15 minutes, until it achieves a smooth, icy consistency.
