How to Make Baked Peaches with Apricot Glaze

1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Peaches

Preheat your oven to 400°F. Prepare the peaches by halving them and removing the pits. Place the halved peaches in a 9- by 13-inch baking dish, cut side up.

2. Make Apricot Glaze

In a small bowl, combine 5 tablespoons of apricot jam, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, and 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice. Whisk these ingredients together until smooth.

3. Bake the Peaches

Spoon the apricot mixture over the peach halves, ensuring each piece is coated. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of sugar on each peach half. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, basting with the juices several times until the peaches are tender and caramelized.

4. Serve Warm

Serve the baked peaches warm with a scoop of ice cream if desired, drizzling the baking juices over them as a sauce.
