How to Make Hard-Cooked and Soft-Cooked Eggs

    1. Boil Water

Fill a pot with enough water to cover your eggs and bring it to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Then, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.

    2. Simmer Eggs

Gently lower the eggs into the simmering water using a slotted spoon. For hard-cooked eggs, let them simmer for nine minutes. For soft-cooked eggs, simmer for five minutes.

    3. Cool Eggs

Transfer the eggs to an ice water bath to stop the cooking process immediately and cool rapidly.

    4. Peel Eggs

Gently crack the shells and peel the eggs, revealing perfectly cooked insides.
