Oreo Cookies, broken into rough pieces
each
Unsalted Butter, melted and cooled
tablespoons
1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees, positioning the rack in the middle to ensure even baking.
2. Prepare Oreo Crumbs
Grab your food processor and break 16 Oreo cookies into rough pieces. Pulse the broken cookies about 15 times to achieve a coarse texture; for a finer crumb, pulse for an additional 15 seconds.
3. Combine Butter and Crumbs
Drizzle the melted and cooled butter over the Oreo crumbs in the food processor. Pulse the mixture until the butter is fully incorporated, ensuring the crumbs are evenly moistened.
4. Form the Crust
Transfer the crumb mixture to a 9-inch pie plate. Using the bottom of a measuring cup, press the crumbs firmly and evenly across the bottom and up the sides of the plate.
5. Bake the Crust
Place the pie plate in the preheated oven and bake for 13 to 18 minutes. You'll know it's ready when the crust is fragrant and appears set.
6. Cool the Crust
Once baked, allow the crust to cool on a wire rack. Depending on your pie recipe, you can either use the crust while it's still warm or let it cool completely.
