How to Make Bourbon Pecan Pie Bites

1. Combine Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, stir together the finely chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, dark brown sugar, and salt until everything is evenly combined.

2. Add Wet Ingredients

Add the maple syrup, bourbon, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly, then use your hands to fully incorporate the mixture. This ensures that everything is evenly distributed and the mixture should feel sticky and hold its shape when pressed.

3. Form Balls

Using your hands, form the mixture into walnut-sized balls and place them on a cookie sheet. This size is perfect for bite-sized treats.

4. Freeze Balls

Transfer the cookie sheet with the balls to the freezer and let them freeze for about 2 hours. Freezing them makes the next step easier and helps the chocolate set quickly.

5. Melt Chocolate

While the balls are freezing, melt the dark chocolate. Place the chocolate in a double boiler or a medium stainless steel bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

6. Dip Balls in Chocolate

Once the balls are frozen, dip each one into the melted chocolate, using a fork or dipping tool to ensure they are fully coated. The frozen balls will help the chocolate set quickly and create a smooth, glossy coat.

7. Set Chocolate

Place the chocolate-dipped balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them sit for about 15 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
