1. Mix Base Ingredients
Mix together the Sacramento tomato juice, Bumble Bee clam juice, and lime zest in a large pitcher.
2. Add Wasabi and Lime
In a small glass measuring cup, whisk the wasabi powder into the freshly squeezed lime juice until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pitcher.
3. Add Seasonings and Vodka
Add the Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vodka, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Stir well to combine.
4. Prepare Glasses
Rim each highball glass with Old Bay Seasoning using a lime wedge to moisten the rim before dipping.
5. Pour and Garnish
Fill each glass with ice and pour the Bloody Mary mixture over it. Garnish each drink with a skewer of three pimento-stuffed olives, a lime wedge, and a jumbo shrimp.
Start with a high-quality tomato juice or make your own by blending fresh tomatoes. Use San Marzano tomatoes for a richer depth if using canned juice.
Use freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice to add brightness and counterbalance sweetness. Season with a good-quality sea or kosher salt, or celery salt for additional flavor.
Use garnishes to add flavor and texture, like olives, pickled vegetables, bacon, shrimp, or cucumber spears, ensuring they complement the drink.
Tailor seasoning, spice levels, and garnishes to personal or guest preferences for the ideal Bloody Mary.
Freshly grated horseradish adds a spicy kick and aromatic zing that pre-prepared horseradish can't match. Grate it just before mixing to maintain potency.
