How to Make Groovy Gruyère Sticks

    1. Prepare Panini Press

Preheat your panini press on a high setting to ensure that the cheese will melt evenly and the bread will crisp up nicely.

    2. Shape and Add Cheese to Bread

Shape 2 ounces of grated Gruyère cheese to resemble the size of your bread slices. Place a slice of thin sourdough bread on the press and evenly sprinkle 1 ounce of the shaped Gruyère cheese on top.

    3. Grill the Gruyère Toast

Close the panini press and grill for about a minute, until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden and crisp.

    4. Cool and Cut into Sticks

Carefully remove the Gruyère toast from the panini press and place it on a cooling rack to allow the cheese to set slightly. Once cooled, cut the toast into stick shapes.
