How to Make Classic White Bread

    1. Prepare Loaf Pans

Grease two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans using nonstick spray or melted butter to ensure easy release of the bread after baking.

    2. Combine Dry Ingredients

In a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, or in a large bowl if mixing by hand, combine all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, granulated sugar, and sea salt.

    3. Add Water and Butter

Slowly add warm water and melted unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Knead the mixture for about 5 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

    4. First Rise

Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let it rise for 45 to 60 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.

    5. Preheat Oven

While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

    6. Shape Loaves and Second Rise

Gently shape the risen dough into loaves and place them in the prepared pans. Allow the dough to rise again for another 30 to 40 minutes.

    7. Bake the Bread

Bake the loaves in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes, until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.

    8. Finishing Touch

Optional: Brush additional melted butter on the warm bread for a delicious finish.
